Wow! If I had this “child cultivating” book when I was raising my children, my mind would have been blown with all the counter-cultural goodness. Don Owsley enlarges on all points that in the past 10 years or so I’ve come to find are so vital in any relationships-especially with our vulnerable, impressionable children. This book covers it all-examining the truths of Scripture and examining the facts of brain science. Don talks about the importance of developing trust (which I now know is vital, but who was teaching that 30 years ago?), having the New Testament as our primary Biblical guide in child raising (because, yes, the New Testament is a better covenant), understanding trauma, how to think Biblically about sin in our children, and so much more. I’m excited to get this book for our own children.”
